Working with patients of all ages, chiropodists can diagnose and treat a wide variety of foot conditions, such as topical/dermatological issues such as verrucae, athlete’s foot, and excessive sweat or odour and ingrown toenails.
At Blackshots, we use a trained and experienced chiropodist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. We are a welcoming family clinic, and booking an appointment is quick and easy with our online booking system.
Our chiropodist will treat all typical foot complaints such as fungal infections, verrucae, sweat and odour, and ingrown toenails.
Chiropody uses a wide range of treatment methods including topical creams, freezing, scraping, and extremely minor surgery under local anaesthetic (as in the case of ingrown toenails). Your practitioner will explain the right course of treatment for you at your first appointment, and answer any questions you may have.
Chiropody is very gentle therapy, and your appointment should be a positive and relaxed experience.
Your practitioner will begin by discussing your symptoms with you and examining any affected areas. They will then give you an assessment of your problem, explain how it can be treated, and give you an idea of how many sessions you are likely to need.
If you require chiropodist treatment, your practitioner will begin treating you at your first appointment, following the initial assessment.
Here at Black shots, we are a small and friendly clinic and we pride ourselves on a welcoming and professional approach. Our resident practitioner, Paul, has been with us for a number of years.
Paul treats all ages from newborns, to older patients with aches and pains or mobility issues. He draws on his wide experience and training in soft tissue work, structural, cranial, and visceral approaches, tailoring his treatment to the unique needs of the patient. Special fields of interest include respiratory diseases and cervicogenic headaches.
Paul is registered with the General Osteopathic Council, is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy, and is recognised by most private health insurers.
